The place is a must visit for all tourists. Lining the banks of Lake Phewa, the second largest lake in Nepal, the town has a dream like quality which makes it an excellent place to relax. The Tour:
Pokhara tour packages generally offer a visit to the Phew Lake, water rafting and trekking opportunities. The town is a small one with all the tourist spots within walking distance. All major tour packages of Pokhara include a boat ride at Phew Lake. For wilder stuff you can go water rafting in the Seki River. There are a number of view points in the town providing breathtaking views of the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Manaslu ranges. The tour generally includes a visit to the three famous caves Mahendra, Gupteswor and Bat. The spectacular Devi falls is also on the list of most of the tours. A walk through the town is a memorable experience in itself.
Transportation facilities to Pokhara:
Normally, transportation facilities are included in all major tour packages of Pokhara. Daily flights ply to and from Katmandu and Pokhara. Pokhara is well connected with Manag, Bharatpur, Bhairahawa and Jomsom through air. You can also hire helicopters to reach Pokhara. Your other options are public buses and taxis from Kathmandu.
