Major tourist attractions in Punjab:
The Golden Temple: The Golden Temple is the main tourist attraction of the state. It is one of the most famous shrines of the Sikh religion.
The city of Chandigarh: The city was designed by the French architect Le Corbusier and is known for its modern infrastructure. The city is the capital of both Punjab and Haryana. Everything from the State High Court to the Chandigarh University to the Botanical garden is worth a visit. Chandigarh is the first planned city of India.
