Patna is the capital of Bihar and is located on the southern parts of the Ganges and in the present days is a famous tourist spot visited by the pilgrims of various religions and foreign tourists as well. Patna also flaunts immense historical significance and was the center of art and culture during the ancient times. Hanuman Mandir:
This is one of the most revered temples of Patna and is located right in front of the Patna Junction. You can see lots of devotees standing in the long winding queues to offer prayers in the traditional manner to the residing deity.

Kumhrar:
This is an important place among the Patna tourist attractions and is known for impressive artifacts and ruins dating back to the Mauryan times that have been unearthed here. The ruins found here include a huge pillared assembly hall, a Buddhist monastery, parts of Anand Bihar, clay figures and wooden beams.

It occupies an important place for the Sikhs and was constructed by the ruler of Punjab, Maharaja Ranjit Singh. It is the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and is also popularly known as 'Takht Shri Patna Sahib'.

Golghar:
This is a beehive shaped granary that was built for storing grains to be used during the times of famine. The foundation of the building is 125 meters in width and the walls are 3.6 meters thick. You can also get a picturesque view of the town and the Ganga River from its top as there are stairs outside of the building to reach the top.

Patna Museum:
It is one of the main tourist attractions in Patna and is also called Jadu Ghar: The museum houses a wide collection of stone and bronze sculptures and terracotta figures of Hindu and Buddhist artists belonging to the ancient and medieval phase of Indian history. The most prized collection of this museum is Didarganj Yakshi.

State Secretariat Building:
It is a significant building in the entire city with its Clock Tower and Martyrsí Memorial observing the death of seven school and college students who were cruelly killed by the armed forces of the British army during the Quit India movement of 1942.

Patna Planetarium:
It is one of the most indispensable things to watch in Patna and is also the largest Planetarium in Asia. Each year it is frequented by innumerable domestic as well as foreign tourists. Regular film shows are conducted on the subjects relating to astronomy and exhibitions are also conducted here.

Qila House:
Also known as Jalan House, it is a treasure trove of interesting jade collections, Chinese paintings and various far-eastern works of art that were collected by Diwan Bahadur Radhakrishan Jalan.
