The Palace on Wheels is an eight-day journey that runs every Wednesday from Delhi from September through April. The route of the journey is as follows: Jaipur, Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Sawai Madhopur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Bharatpur, Agra. The tariff is in hard currency and Indian passengers pay the equivalent at the prevailing exchange rate. The tariff is based on per person, per night basis, so that travelers can opt for any length of the journey and do not have to take the complete tour.
The tariff is inclusive of the cost of travel, full catering, conducted sightseeing tours in deluxe coaches, entrance fee for monuments and palaces, cultural entertainment and the boat ride on lake Pichola in Udaipur. Liquor and laundry is on actual. A combination of single, double and triple occupancy choices is available in each coach.
