HOTEL DEVI GARH
Witnessing the changes for more than two centuries Devi Garh Palace stands tall echoing the memories of the Royal past. Devi Garh is an all suite Boutique Hotel housing 23 suites and 6 Shikar Tents. The hotel takes on the look of modern India with emphasis on design using local marble and semi precious stones as modern inlays. Each of the suites are individually designed and styled in more than 700 square feet including a separate sitting and dressing areas. Some suites have balconies with an unobstructed view of the sunset and the lush green fields. One of the outstanding features of Devi Garh is its landscape design done in modern and contemporary manner. Using additional materials and motifs, contemporary designs have been created which embody the confluence between the old and the new. The raw materials used are local while white marble is used extensively throughout the palace. The two 12 feet blocks of uncut white marble placed at the entrance of the hotel is a symbolic representation of the stone in its purest form. Devi Garh, like any traditional dwelling, revolves around courtyards -- five to be precise. Each courtyard blends with the classical and modern designs to achieve a fusion, which is peaceful yet intriguing. The Kalam Court is an interesting interpretation of the traditional lotus motif. |
