  • Chinese fishing Nets: These Chinese Fishing Nets popularly known as Cheenavala is a unique feature of the city and is found nowhere else outside China. These are massive fishing nets used by Local fishermen to earn their living.

  • St. Francis Church: This Church is located at Fort Kochi and is one of the oldest Churches in Goa. Vasco Da Gama, the Portuguese navigator was initially buried in this Church. However, his body was later shifted to Portugal.

  • Dutch Palace: The Palace originally built by the Portuguese was modified by the Dutch and presented to the King of Kochi. The Palace has an exclusive collection of paintings portraying scenes from Hindu epics like Ramayana and Mahabharata.

  • Hill Palace: It is a 19th Century Palace located near Tripunithura and served as the seat of the Raja of the Province. The Palace has now been converted into a museum with a fine collection of antiques including the throne and the crown of the King.

  • Willingdon Island: This Island was created in 1933 and is a man made island. It is the home to the Cochin Port and the headquarters of the naval command. This island once served as the airport, sea port and the railway terminus. But now it serves as the naval air base only.

  • Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha: This is the only Gurudwara in Kerala and has only one entrance unlike other Gurudwaras due to space limitations.
